Technical Expertise

One of the primary assets that sets River City Communications apart from others in the industry is the high standard of technical excellence that we strive for. To achieve this goal, the staff at River City Communications is continuously training and updating on the latest in the communications and building industry.

Technical Excellence in Design

River City Communications has a BICSI® RCDD(TM) on staff for our clients' design needs. The Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) developed the Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) designation for professionals with expertise in: building codes, local, state, and federal regulations for construction and telecommunication, and technical requirements for cabling and telecommunication systems. RCDD's have demonstrated a wide range of manufacturer-independent industry knowledge and exemplify professional conduct and integrity. Thorough testing and strict continuing education requirements have made this program an industry standard and, often, a requirement on large projects.

Technical Excellence in Implementation

River City's installers and technicians have completed the IBEW Certified Apprenticeship program - and those who have yet to graduate to installer/technician - are involved in the three-year program, which includes:

    • 160 hours per year in classroom instruction (480 hours total)
    • 1,600 hours per year On-The-Job training (4,800 hours total over three years)
    • Comprehensive testing as the course progresses
    • Continuing education requirements
    • A BICSI Certified Training Center

Technical Excellence in Presentation

River City Communications has a full-time, on-site CAD department to create, design and revise drawings. We take great pride in the quality of the as-built drawings produced in-house as part of our final project documentation.
