Hotels
Citizens Hotel
Hotels are, from a design and structural standpoint, different from most other building types. In order to maximize the space used by guests, normal building services are compact. Designing and installing systems and systems infrastructure for hotels requires a unique perspective. River City Communications Corporations’ resume includes three major hotel installations, two of which were design/build projects.
The recently opened Citizens Hotel, part of the Joi de Vivre hotel group, contains a structured cable system, central antenna television system, and closed circuit television system, all designed and installed by River City Communications Corporation. The structured cable system supports the hotel’s voice and data needs, including those of the guests. The Citizen was even more unique than most hotel projects. It is housed in a historic building, constructed in the early part of the twentieth century. Provisions for electronic systems were extremely limited, including room for head-end equipment, cross-connects, and maintenance. Even without the unique requirements of hotels, this building provided many challenges. River City Communications Corporation accepted the challenges posed by the building and its occupant, and produced functional systems, all of which are currently in use on a daily basis.

Embassy Suites Waterfront
Two years prior to engaging in the Citizens Hotel, River City Communications Corporation provided voice, data, and central antenna systems for the Embassy Suites
Sheraton Grand

A major component of the Sacramento skyline is the Sheraton Grand Hotel. River City Communications Corporation installed the infrastructure for voice, data, central antenna television, and closed circuit television systems. This was the Company’s first experience with hotel installations, which provided the basis for future, successful projects.
